Willis Sustainable Fuels Selects McDermott for Sustainable Aviation Gasoline Amenities within the UK
HOUSTON, Nov. 20, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — McDermott has been awarded a grasp providers settlement (MSA) by Willis Sustainable Fuels (UK) Restricted (WSFL) for sustainable aviation gas (SAF) amenities within the UK. Below the scope of the settlement, McDermott will carry out early engineering, procurement and development (EPC) associated providers for the amenities.
The preliminary part of the settlement is the early engineering of a deliberate SAF facility in Teesside with capability of manufacturing 50,000 litres per day of SAF. The mission is supported by the UK Authorities’s Superior Fuels Fund. The intent is for the events to enter a sole-source negotiation of the EPC scope in 2025. WSFL intends to deploy expertise which produces next-generation SAF, both Biogas-to-Liquid (BtL) or Energy-to-Liquid (PtL), relying on the feedstock.
